We Built Alameda County District 2 & Hayward out of LEGO

On Saturday, October 1st, 2016, we helped Supervisor Richard Valle and the Hayward Area Parks and Recreation District build the District 2 Map out of LEGO, as well as the city of Hayward out of LEGO.  It was for Science In The Parka Biennial FREE family event that makes STEM and health compelling and accessible to children, families, and the general public in Alameda County District 2.

Families were able to find where they lived in a map of District 2 and create their neighborhood out of LEGO.  They also were able to build Hayward out of LEGO, as well as play with other LEGO-Inspired STEM projects.  Check out the videos and pictures of the event below.  If you’d like us to run a similar event for your government agency, simply complete our Special Request Form HERE.

Breaking The World’s Longest LEGO Chain Record For Jamesy

On Tuesday, September 13th, 2016, 2 years from the day that 7-Year-Old James “Jamesy” Raffone was diagnosed with the rare disease, Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD), we, Play-Well TEKnologies collaborated with Jar of Hope, to break the record for the World’s Longest LEGO Chain.

With the help of many volunteers, Jamesy’s classmates, as well as devoted teachers and principals from both Clark Mills School and Milford Brook School, we were able to break the record by 12 meters. The new record is 3108 Ft. or 919.89 Meters.  Check out videos from the event below.
